Made in Denmark, St. Leo’s debut Dolomite Plaster collection consists of super-fine Dolomite stone and recycled ash for true, deep colour profiles and a long-wearing finish. Dolomite Plaster is packaged in a convenient, ready-to-roll form to be applied with a roller and finished with a trowel or brush for a subtle, earthy texture that is perfectly imperfect.

Natural minerals and colour pigments are mixed by hand to create a considered palette of neutral and bold hues informed by timeless façades and interiors around the world. Each colour in the collection carries the name of the place it was inspired by, along with the rich stories found in that corner of the world. By working with the organic variations of our raw materials, each batch of Dolomite Plaster bears a slightly unique colour profile.

Application Guide

St. Leo Dolomite Plaster can be applied to normal interior surfaces such as drywalls, painted walls, wood, concrete, and brick. The final application depends on the smoothness of surfaces. Rough surfaces should be sanded and treated with primer prior to application.

Dilute the plaster with 1 part water to 10 parts plaster. Mix thoroughly until the consistency is even and smooth.

For a Smooth Finish, roll the plaster from floor to ceiling, edge to edge and to corners in 3mm thickness. Allow the plaster to dry for a few minutes. Use a trowel to smooth the plaster by making large, curved movements. Completely trowel all the plastered surfaces, edges and corners before the plaster dries to ensure a uniform appearance. For a Tactile Finish, use a wide, moist paint brush to add a brushed texture to the plastered surface. Dip the brush in diluted plaster and brush vertically, from floor to ceiling and edge to edge, in 2mm thickness.

Allow the plastered surface to dry completely for approximately 12 hours. Repeat the application process for the second layer, and let fully dry for approximately 12 hours.

To increase durability and resistance to impact, scratches, and moisture, apply 2 layers of St. Leo Topcoat to the finished, dried plaster. The Topcoat also increases the depth of the plaster’s colour. For ongoing care, the finished plaster surfaces can be cleaned with a dry, soft brush or a dry microfibre cloth.
